Shorne Sander's is embarking on a mammoth walk from Rockhampton to Brisbane in memory of his mate Garry Lawton and his Mum, and to raise money and awareness of brain cancer.

Garry did the same walk in 2010 and sadly lost his battle with brain cancer in December 2014. Garry was committed to helping find a cure for brain cancer and set up Orange Thumbs in 2009, a charity which aims to raise funds for brain tumour research and help patients in need. The Newro Foundation are privledged to be one of recipients of funds raised through Orange Thumbs.

With the help of the team at Orange Thumbs, Shorne will be emarking on a 630km walk to Brisbane, starting at the information centre in Rockhampton and finishing at the Wesley Hospital.
